My realization as I traveled through India is that it is one giant temple... all religions, peoples, mixed up...

a sacred place... as Osho has said, India is not a place... it is a state of mind....  yes... so true...

India... I love thee still....

I am appreciated by these strangers more than i was ever in India .I can , if i will , live here all my life in the greatest luxury , but i am a sannyasin , and India , with all thy faults i love thee still.--Swami Vivekanand [ Boston 1893]

the Spirit... which is all Love...

I do not care what they say,  I  love my God , my religion , my country , and above all , myself a poor beggar.  I love the poor , the ignorant , the downtrodden , I feel for them – the Lord knows how much. He will show me the way.  I do not care a fig for human approbation or criticism .  I think most of them as ignorant, noisy children – they have not penetrated into the inner nature of sympathy , into the spirit which is all love.---------------SWAMI VIVEKANANDA [ CHICAGO, 1894]

I wear the yellow turban...

I WEAR THE  YELLOW TURBAN
BY DR. RAM SHARMA, MEERUT, INDIA

Today, I am not my  usual self
I saw Paramhans Yoganand
I saw Swami Vivekanand
Come to me
Putting the yellow turban on my head
I am feeling totally unworthy
How I shall fulfill promises of Thee
I have so many faults
I have so many sins
They cried , you , you and only you
Will work for us
You will have to carry our mission
Because you are wearing the yellow turban

village life.. the juggler...

Juggler
BY DR. RAM SHARMA, MEERUT, INDIA
Blowing of the whistle
Gathering of all children
Games of snakes and monkey
Pindrop silence prevails
Juggler sometimes cries sometimes hails
Different games to show
Amidst the hustle bustle of the village
Full entertainment to throw
Collection of money all around

If you laugh...

IF YOU LAUGH
BY DR. RAM SHARMA , MEERUT, INDIA

If you laugh,
the black darkness,
will change into twinkling stars,
if you laugh,
this autumn,
will change,
into fragrant spring,
if you laugh,
this fierce storm,
will change into cool breeze,
if you laugh,
all disappoints
will change into
new hopes
